Reposting this again, just thought I should post for people who don’t know/would like to know more
Chriiiiiiiiist, I find it incredible that people need to be told this. At my worst, I’ve accidentally fucked up pronouns and side-eyed genderqueer identity, but this poster doesn’t even go that far.
Thanks to Kalmplex for documenting, check the blog for the full transcript. Here is an excerpt:
“Trust your struggle, you don’t need a man to justify the existence of sexism and I don’t need white folks to affirm my lived daily reality of racialized sexism. Subjectivity is a powerful place. What happens when the specimen that you have under the magnifying glass speaks back? When the subject of the anthropological study raises their hand in class and says no. Keep speaking out as the experts of your own experiences, tell your truths, step back and allow others whose voices are not often acknowledged take up more space. Know that there are multiple narratives that all exist at the same time, the truth of another should complicate your own, but not invalidate.
There is an enormous privilege that comes from the ability to change what you’re wearing or where you are walking and be able to find safety, even relative safety. The normalization of the disappearance, rape, torture and murder of Black Womyn, Womyn Of Colour & First Nations Womyn (who may and may not be cash poor, differently abled, possessing status etc.) is a part of the foundation of ‘modern’ Western-Euro science, in-justice, and government and I never get to take a break.”
EVERYBODY WATCH THIS. This woman is fucking amazing.
“You can’t turn a hoe into a housewife”
“You can’t turn a sexist, double-standard holding, woman-shaming douchebag into anything remotely useful, nevermind a husband”
Hell to the fucking yes.
Friend: oh but guys respect you more when you hold back for a bit!
Me: If their respect rides on me treating my body like it’s a commodity that needs to be “earned”, “saved” or “given up” then I don’t fucking want it.
Queer doesn’t mean “don’t label me,” it means “I am naming myself.” It means “ask me more questions if you[‘re] curious” and in the same breath means “fuck off.
In case you needed more of a reason to love Laci Green
Oh hello. I love you.
Complete with Dumbledore reference.
Marry me, Laci <3.
That being said, it bugs me how she refers to her vulva as her “vagina”. The vagina is synonymous with the birth canal and nothing else. The reason the term is often used as an all-encompassing term for the birth canal but also the outer/inner labia (“lips”) and the clitoris is because society—being phallocentric, heterosexist, sexist, reproduction-centric, etc—collectively decided that it wasn’t worth popularizing the term referring to anything else besides the part that will accommodate penetration and give birth.
Because the clitoris isn’t important at all, right?
pigfarts-pigfarts-here-i-come:
I hate the word homophobia.
It is not a phobia.
You are not scared.
You are just an asshole.
This is why I like the word “heterosexism” better, but it’s not quite catching on in the general public :/
good work daily mail
dis is wy ur shit xoxo
…
So from what I can tell, working at the Daily Fail is just an intellectual exercise in seeing how many different ways you can write “LADY LEFT HOUSE WITH BOOBS”.

This is why gender neutral bathrooms are necessary.
The shit that trans* people, especially non-binary trans* people, have to deal with in the simplest of situations….
